How to design a link-in-bio page people actually click

Practical design rules for a bio page: contrast, button wording, ordering and restraint.

Contrast first

Your buttons must be easy to read on a small screen in bright daylight. Pick a background and a button color with strong contrast. If you use a photo or wallpaper as background, choose one that is calm behind the buttons.

Write buttons like invitations

"YouTube" tells people where they will go. "Watch my new video" tells them why they should go. Short, specific wording that starts with an action usually earns more taps.

Less is more

Every extra link competes with the others. If a link has not been clicked in a month, archive it. A short page with a clear first button beats a long page where nothing stands out.

Pick one font for headings and keep the rest simple. Use stickers, animations or effects to add personality, but keep them away from the buttons themselves.

Check it on your own phone

Before sharing, open your page on your phone the way a follower would. Can you read everything? Is the most important button visible without scrolling? Fix what bothers you — your visitors will notice the same things.
